The Blowing Rock Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2014–2015 grants. The mission of the Foundation is to raise and award charitable contributions to non-profit (501c3) organizations, as well as scholarships which benefit the community of Blowing Rock. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees annually approves all project grants and scholarships based on documented need and merit. The funds for the grants and scholarships are raised through “Community Foundation Days,” a series of events hosted each year, as well as through generous contributions. The events include Game Day, Groovy Nights, and golf and tennis tournaments, and a grand total of $125,000 was raised at these events. Of that amount, $35,000 was allocated for grant distribution in 2014.
